The Saint Paul Fire Department - protects the life and property of the people of Saint Paul.
There are 15 fire stations throughout the City. The firefighters and medics work 24-hour shifts to keep the City safe and make Saint Paul, America's most livable city.
The fire suppression division is responsible for fire and emergency response for the City of Saint Paul and contracted areas. Three shifts are supervised by deputy chiefs who oversee 136 uniformed fire suppression personnel. Each shift includes three district chiefs and 26 fire companies. 11 companies staff paramedic rigs for emergency medical response.
